We have received more information after Fairy Café, a popular restaurant in Bulawayo, was destroyed by fire between 3AM and 4AM this morning.
Reports say the café’s owner was involved in a serious divorce with her ex-husband, who owns a company called Equitrail. It is alleged that the ex-husband helped fund her businesses, Cake Fairy and Fairy Café, using money from his South African business, which he previously ran with his first wife. He reportedly left his first wife to marry the Fairy Café owner.
During the divorce, the café owner is said to have claimed a house that was built before their marriage. Reports suggest the house was built by the first wife, but the court awarded it to the Fairy Café owner.
This morning, Fairy Café was completely burned down in the fire.
